1. as the other said, either you were distracting enough and hard enough to hit for the tank that he was bothered by you. Or you were the only red on the map they could find.
2. AV is in a hard place right now, but swarmers are not the way to go. Vehicles are using shield hardeners and Swarmers are meant to do damage on armor. This makes them a non ideal weapon for tanks currently. I have proto swarmers and they are like tapping a tank on the shoulder and asking him to politely leave. Proximity mines, REs and a good forge gunner are your friends.
3. Yes, but before jumping prematurely into a corp (I hear Ghost coming), you should look into the "Learning Coalition" chat channel. I say this because corps sometimes charge tax and as you're starting out, that tax does dig into the isk you'll need to buy skillbooks. That being said, any corp willing to help is also willing to help fund you so don't shy away from a corp that would take you. However, the chat channel is a great way to get all your answers to your questions, no pressure to join anything, and get to know a bunch of fun people from a lot of different corps with a lot of different skills. They have instructors on specific niches to help if you want to shadow/get a tutor.
